The project “Municipalities for the EU – Empowering Local Communities in the EU Integration Process”, funded by the European Union, has presented a promotional video about EU info Points, a network of local information points operating in all municipalities of Montenegro.
EU info Points are intended for citizens who wish to learn more about Montenegro’s accession process to the European Union, opportunities offered by the EU to local communities, current EU programmes, calls and funds, as well as the rights and obligations arising from EU membership. They serve as places of direct contact between citizens and reliable, verified information about the European Union at the local level.
Through EU info Points, citizens can obtain information on:
- the EU integration process and negotiation chapters,
- EU funds, programmes and open calls,
- opportunities for young people, entrepreneurs, civil society organisations and local self-governments,
- projects funded by the European Union in Montenegro and their impact on local community development.
The promotional video aims to bring the concept of EU info Points closer to citizens, present their role, and encourage citizens to use them as the first point of contact for EU-related information in their municipality.
The video, locations and contact details of EU i Points are available at www.opstinezaeu.me.
The “Municipalities for the EU” project, funded by the European Union, is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro, with the aim of strengthening local capacities and informing citizens about European integration.
