Obiljezen Dan Evrope na Cetinju 1

Europe Day was marked in the Old Royal Capital Cetinje in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, with the support of the project “Municipalities for the EU.”

As part of the celebration, an exhibition of a three-dimensional model of Žabljak Crnojevića was organized, implemented through the EU project HERIT ADAPT, which aims to strengthen the resilience of cultural heritage to climate change through innovative and sustainable solutions.

This digital presentation of one of the most significant medieval sites in Montenegro allows citizens and visitors to experience cultural heritage in a new way, combining modern technology with historical legacy.

The project includes interdisciplinary cooperation among experts in the fields of conservation, IT, art history, and cultural policy, and through this initiative, Cetinje ranks among the cities applying the most advanced methods in preserving cultural heritage.

In addition to the exhibition, within the program marking Europe Day, the Mayor of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje, Nikola Đurašković, met with the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Riccardo Seri.

During the meeting, key development and infrastructure projects being implemented and planned in the Old Royal Capital were discussed, as well as current issues of Montenegro’s European agenda.
