On September 20, bicycles, scooters, an agility course, and a group ride through the city streets marked the European Mobility Week program in Kolašin. The event was dedicated to educating the youngest citizens about traffic safety and promoting environmentally friendly modes of transport.
The youngest residents put their skills to the test on prepared agility courses and guided tours, where they learned about proper and safe traffic participation through fun and socialization.
On behalf of the Municipality of Kolašin, Branka Subotić welcomed the attendees, after which primary and secondary school students set off together on a bicycle ride through the city. Dragan Jašović from the “Star Bike” organization presented the planned route and movement rules, led the cycling tours, and provided protective helmets for the children. Petar Minić, Deputy Chief of the Kolašin Police Department, spoke about the rules for safe participation in traffic and the responsible behavior of cyclists.

The ride followed a route leading from the schoolyard through 13. jula Street and IV proleterska Street, Sibirska Street, all the way to Trg boraca (Fighters’ Square) and back to the starting point.
A day dedicated to movement, education, and togetherness demonstrated the importance of building good habits for safer and more sustainable mobility from an early age.
By organizing these activities, Kolašin once again reaffirms its commitment to creating a safer, healthier, and more human-centric urban environment. Promoting sustainable mobility and reducing car usage remain key priorities for the local self-government in the process of building a municipality tailored to all its citizens.
