On September 22, the youngest residents of Berane showed what a child-friendly city looks like through colors, imagination, and their vision of the environment in which they want to grow up, a city with more space for play and movement, safe mobility, and a preserved environment.
The traditional event “Children Drawing on Asphalt” once again brought together numerous children who brought joy and color to their city through creative expression and play. This recognizable initiative was carried out this year as part of the European Mobility Week celebrations.

The event was organized by the Secretariat for Culture, Youth, and NGO Relations of the Municipality of Berane, with the support of the Berane Sports Center, which provided the venue for the occasion.
The activity was supported through the project “Municipalities for EU – Empowering Local Self-Governments in the EU Integration Process,” via the Secretariat for Investments and Projects of the Municipality of Berane and in cooperation with the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro.

When we give children space to freely create and imagine, we get the clearest picture of the city we need for the future.
By marking European Mobility Week in this way, Berane reaffirms its commitment to creating safer pedestrian zones, a cleaner environment, and a more human-centric urban space tailored to the needs of all generations.
