The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro (PKCG) has published a practical guide to registering on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal and obtaining a Participant Identification Code (PIC). The guide is intended for businesses, public institutions, local governments and other organisations interested in participating in EU programmes.
“The publication provides a practical overview of the registration process on the Funding & Tenders Portal, covering every step from creating an EU Login account and checking whether an organisation already has a PIC number, to registering the organisation, preparing the required documentation, validating the submitted information and appointing authorised representatives,” PKCG announced. The guide was prepared as part of the activities of the MontEENegro – Enterprise Europe Network consortium.
A PIC number is a unique organisational identification number and one of the key prerequisites for participating in centrally managed EU programmes and calls for proposals. The publication aims to make this process easier to understand and help prospective applicants complete the registration correctly and efficiently.
Tanja Radusinović, Director of the Projects Department at the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, said that strengthening the capacities of businesses and institutions to participate in EU programmes is one of PKCG’s priorities.
“A PIC number is the gateway to some of the most important European funding programmes. That is why it is essential for organisations to complete the registration process correctly and in a timely manner. By publishing this guide, we aim to make the process simpler and more accessible to everyone wishing to benefit from the opportunities offered by EU funds. This is another concrete contribution to preparing Montenegro’s economy for full participation in the European Single Market and for the country’s future membership in the European Union,” Radusinović said.
The design, printing and distribution of the publication were supported through the Municipalities for EU – Empowering Local Governments in the European Integration Process project, funded by the European Union and implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro.
The guide will be available online, at the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, and through the EU Info Points located in all municipalities across Montenegro.
Branka Mračević, Team Leader of the Municipalities for EU project, said that the project is committed to ensuring that information, tools and opportunities provided by the European Union are accessible to everyone – citizens, businesses, civil society organisations and local governments.
“By supporting the printing and distribution of this guide through the EU Info Points located in every municipality in Montenegro, we wanted to provide potential beneficiaries with a practical handbook that will facilitate registration on the Funding & Tenders Portal and obtaining a PIC number as the first step towards participation in centrally managed EU programmes. We believe this publication will contribute to better awareness, stronger capacities and greater use of the opportunities offered by European funding programmes,” Mračević concluded.
